Calendar

Eklypz Coptic

The Eklypzanix Calendar followed an old farming calendar. A year was divided into 13 months – 12 of which contain 30 days each – 10 days for each of the three weeks. The 13th month contained 5 days that were celebrated with a large festival. A 6th day was also added to the festival during leap years.

The current date is found by the numbered day of the week (8th Ielata), followed by the current month (Golmet) – and finally the year (if needed).

The calendar is offset from the Standard calendar by 1,287 years – The current Eklypzanix year is 3311
